Comforted to comfort others
2 Corinthians 1:4 KJV Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
Comforting words from friends, family and loved ones aren’t enough to quench our thirst for deep comforting and soothing words. They try all they can and with words like, “I understand”, ” I can relate”, “I know what you’re feeling”, I know what you are going through”. These words aren’t enough to comfort us.
I remember in the year 2011 when I broke down in tears after my (5th) fifth attempt of WASSCE GCE and a NECO GCE in (12) twelve years. My parents and siblings tried to console me but it wasn’t enough. The true consolation came from the Holy Spirit and I got a good result in 2012.
The Lord had ever since then helped me to console those who are going through such situations and had given them hope and results.
What is your present challenge in life? I may not understand but I assure you that the Holy Spirit is here for you and ready to console you. Not only will you be consoled but you will console others with the same consolation you are consoled with now.
I have also been tormented by demons and household wickedness and have been delivered. Many have also enjoyed the grace of God in my life in this area.
Whatever you are going through today is preparing you for an office you are to hold in the future. You can’t give what you don’t have. You can’t tell someone you understand what they are going through if you’ve not been through. They want to hear about your experience. How you got through. That’s when they can trust you.
You can’t tell people you understand what they are going through if you’ve not been in their shoes. Especially if the size of your shoe isn’t bigger than theirs.
Let us pray: Holy Spirit, console me to console others.
