Galatians 6:7 KJV Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
I have heard so many preachers talk about 2 Cor. 9:6 to the extent that whenever I hear the scripture quoted, I know it’s time to raise funds.
Some years back, the Lord revealed to me that giving isn’t limited to money. I know it might sound funny to those who got the knowledge earlier than I did. A better understanding of Luke 6:27-38 help us a lot.
Luke 6:38 KJV Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. This Bible passage is one of the quoted scriptures for fund raising. The scope has been limited and I know the Lord who quoted the scripture isn’t happy with it’s use.
Starting from Luke 6:27 down you will get a better understanding of what Luke 6:38 is talking about. Every act is like a seed that you get to reap it’s result in the future.
The Lord wants us to be givers. He wants you to give your love, your kindness, your time, your strength, your everything. He doesn’t want us to be restricted in giving. Don’t care to get a reward. Don’t give in anticipation to get back. Just be an unbridled giver. John 3:16.
You can give without love but can love without giving. Our giving without the love of Christ has made the clothes, food and many things we share useless. We give and preach yet people ain’t coming to Christ. The early Christians were actually living and giving out of love and got the best result. We should get back to those times.
Love is the life that help your seed grow. Love is the salt that sweeten your gift.
Let us Pray: Father, I desire to be like You in giving. Please help me.
