John 1:3 KJV All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
During creation of the heaven and the earth, the Word of God was fully involved. The Bible passage above confirms that the Word is creative and all created things and beings were made through Him.
Words are powerful. Words have creative abilities. The major tool used in education is the word. It is so important that we start by learning the alphabets, the basis for construction of sentences which makes words meaningful. Words indoctrinate. Words liberate. One can be bound and chained with words. Words can also remove the veil of ignorance.
The devil knows the power in the Word of God and discourages you from studying. There is this major distraction to almost all of us. We study academically and want to get to the height of education so we will be sound and knowledgeable. But to be sound and knowledgeable in the Word of God becomes an issue. If a father discovers the child spending time on the Word of God. The first thing that comes to his mind is, ‘does my child want to become a Pastor?’ Engaging in spiritual excercise has been left to the ministers of God. That’s why we find it difficult to know the Truth and are being tossed by the deceptive words from false ministers.
The Scriptures (Graphe: written words of God.) contains the thoughts (Logos: God’s thoughts) and the Spoken (Rhema). But as you study the Word, the Holy Spirit speaks to you (Rhema) making the Word come alive. And when you begin to live by the Word, the power in Him transforms you, giving you creative abilities.
The dead can be brought back to life, the mentally ill can be made whole. You can be as creative as Jesus is only if you know the power that works in you. How do you know and work miracles if you don’t have a sound relationship with the Word of God?
You cannot live above your knowledge.
Let us pray: Father, give me an insatiable hunger and passion for your Word.
