Armour of God
Ephesians 6:11 KJV Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Whenever I hear people crying to God in prayer for protection against the darts and arrows from evil men, I sigh. I ask within me if they have put on the whole armour of God. I’m not condemning praying for protection from all evil but, “precept upon precept and line upon line.” There are rules guiding us in this Kingdom.
We are to put on the whole armour. Not just a part of it. It has to be the whole for us to stand in the evil days. Starting from the belt of truth. This belt of truth will help you to look smart in the spirit. And will also protect your clothes from falling off. You need the breastplate of righteousness to prevent your heart from every attack coming towards your heart. Put on the shoes of the gospel of peace. The gospel of the Kingdom. Faith is a shield, a defensive weapon to use against attacks through the darts of the wicked ones.
The helmet of salvation is very useful. The head is very important because if it is exposed to attack and is brutally injured and or cut off. The body will not survive it and death is inevitable. The Sword of the Spirit is the Word of God an offensive weapon that you can attack the in evil forces with.
After the whole armour of God is worn then you can pray for yourself against all attacks and then your prayer become effective.
Praying without the whole armour of God is like a Soldier at battle in an underwear.
Let us pray: Father, help me to be obedient and not have myself destroyed.
