Don’t Be Scared!

Psalm 91:5 KJV Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

Fear is one of the major tools the devil uses to rule over men. Glory to God for His perfect love that chases fear away. I John 4:18

Fear had me for a very long period of time. It held me captive and because I was naïve as to the power in the love of God. I couldn’t break free. The truth is that I didn’t accept Jesus understanding the love He had for me. I accepted Him out of fear and lived over two decades in the fear of hell. I used to be a legalist. Let’s save that for another day.

As a child of God, you have nothing to fear; sickness, failure, death, vices, demons, etc. because you are under the shadow of the wings of the Almighty. Because you dwell in the secret place of the Most High.

The Elites love privacy and they are security conscious. You can’t just visit them without an appointment. However, if you can build a healthy relationship with them, you will be granted quick access to them than others who haven’t. In like manner, you can’t just gain access to the secret place of the Most. You have to build a good relationship with Him in the place of fasting and prayer, studying the word of God, obedience to His will, etc. You can have access to His visitor’s living room, master living room and even the master bedroom based on how close you are to Him.

A popular Yoruba adage says; “It is practically impossible for a dog to prey on the cub while the lioness is there.” No evil force will be bold enough to harm you while you are in the secret place of the Most High. Divine security is sure when you don’t go off His presence. Don’t let sin take you off His presence. Gen. 3:10.

Assuredly, some will pass off with the year, but because you have made the everlasting God your shield, no evil will come by you and yours in Jesus name.

Darkness will never make it into the great light which is God’s abode. So, don’t leave the presence of God for anywhere else.

Let us pray: Father, endue me with the staying power, to continually dwell in You.
