Who told you?
Gen. 3:11a KJV And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked?
We are in a time when information is from different sources. Whenever you need information, all you need to do is a search on your internet connected phone, computer and many other related devices and you will get the desired information. We have cable TV stations, the radio, newspapers. You can also get updates on weather and many other information by subscription.
The pandemic is here, and every media has something to say about Corona Virus. It’s good to get updates, but you shouldn’t allow it to breed fear in you.
Adam and Eve were living the good life till they listened to another voice. They had a sound mind and a good spirit till the devil cheated them.
Who have you been listening to concerning your business, academic, career, family? Have you been listening to the promises of God? Have you been reading and meditating on His word? Have you been reading books that will help your faith? Or you’ve been listening to those who predict time and seasons? Have you been listening to those who said you will not make it in life? Have you been listening to that lecturer who said you can never become successful in life? Have you been listening to the Gynaecologist who said you can’t conceive? Have you been listening to the Doctor, who says you have only a few months to live?
I have a word for you. Lam. 3:37 KJV Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not? God’s words are yea and amen. You don’t have to entertain any fear. He will fulfil all what His promises to you.
Don’t let fear consume you. Don’t let the devil deceive you. Don’t let him cheat you as he did to Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. The only voice you can trust is the voice of God.
You can see the things that breed fear, but with faith, we do not see the catalyst. It’s invisible but makes the impossible possible. It’s the Word.
Adam and Eve never saw God but sparks up love when His presence manifests. But the devil made himself visible through the serpent and brought fear.
Stop feeding fear with bad news, start feeding your faith with the goodnews (the word of God). And see how your fear will grow lean, starve and die.
Let us pray: Father, I receive the grace to feed my faith through your Word.
