Leave Your Father’s House
Gen. 12:1 KJV Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
Most of us have heard of how great men of faith made a move from certainty to uncertainty. How some of them left a paid job for the ministry with no resources to start with. One of you reading this article must have made some moves as led by God that made people tag you crazy.
When Abram was told to leave his country, his relatives and his father’s house. He wasn’t sure of the country he was going to. Just like people were mocking Noah when he told them of the flood. I’m sure some of them must have mocked him. But he trusted the Caller, he had faith in God.
The dreamer is the one who can fully understand how great the dream is. It is as a result of a personal encounter. Joseph’s brothers never understood the dream he had. His dad found it difficult to understand too. Saul saw the great light while the people with him couldn’t understand the experience he had. People around you will not understand.
Like the Lord told Abram in his days. So the Lord is telling a reader of this article, leave your father’s house. I’m not talking about those who are marriageable now. I’m talking about leaving your father (the devil) and his household, John 8:44. Whoever doesn’t know and is not abiding in and with the Truth belongs to the devil. As the world exists with the good and the bad and no one can be in-between. You have to make a choice today.
What you are looking at as the reality is just a shadow of the heavenly realities. And heavenly realities are beyond the physical. The devil doesn’t want you to know the Truth. John 14:6. He is presenting you with a shadow of reality but Christ is calling you into everlasting life. He is calling you into the Zoe life. He wants to give you rest. Matt. 11:28.
It doesn’t matter what people call you. They can call you crazy, but it’s all good when you are with Jesus Christ. Make that decision now. Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour. If you’ve accepted Christ’s offer but have lost zeal. I implore you to return to your first love today.
The reality isn’t what they see (physical), the reality is what you can see (spiritual).
Let us pray: Lord, open my eyes to spiritual realities.
