Can God Vouch for You on Good Parenting?
Genesis 18:19 KJV: For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.
The reason why some are still on the waiting list of God is because He has not seen them as those he can entrust His precious gifts to.
The Rechabites are a perfect example of the result of good parenting. Their lives made us understand that children can stand firm in the way of the Lord as led by their parents (Jer. 35, Prov. 22:6).
I have always shared with people around me that your child will only become an advanced version of you. That’s the reason why we keep breeding ungodly children in a supposed godly home. Imagine a couple that have dual personalities. They are saints in the church and fighters at home. The child will become worse except if Grace picked the child early and is saved.
It’s good to be on the waiting list of God as regards child bearing than to become guilty for mismanaging God’s heritage (Ps. 127:3). Child bearing has become the greatest undoing of some parents. May God help us not to be damned because of the gift we received from Him (Matt. 25:30).
The reason why parenting has become difficult these days is because most of us can’t live as we want our children to live. The best way to lead is to do and teach. Jesus Christ is our standard (Acts 1:1). Many children are confused because their parents live opposite of how they are taught to live.
One of the reasons why Pastor’s/Minister’s children live a wayward life is that we assume they know Christ. We conclude in our hearts that our children can’t have a different belief or opinion about life because they are born into a Christian home. Ask them questions and let them give their opinions about a certain scripture. Lead them to Christ and be sure they receive the Holy Spirit. I will advise that every Christian parent shouldn’t assume that their children are saved.
Can God vouch for you on good parenting? Think about this and make amends where necessary. God bless you.
Muse: If God can’t vouch for you, He won’t entrust His previous Pearl to you.
Let us pray: Father, help my mind to be rightly positioned to receive your precious gift. And please help me to manage your gifts well.
